Andrew H. Huffine

Co-Owner

Andy was born in Miami, FL, but grew up in Greensboro where he graduated from Dudley High School. He has been with Ridge Funeral Home since 1995 and a licensed funeral director since 1999.

In his spare time he likes to travel, spending time at the beach and playing golf. He also loves music and animals.

Andy is a member of The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Asheboro and a former member of Randolph Rotary.

Mickey Shaw

Co-Owner

Mickey is a lifelong native of Asheboro and began working part time for Ridge Funeral Home while in middle school at the age of 13. He graduated in 1990 from Gupton Jones College with his Funeral Service degree. He has remained in funeral service in several capacities since licensure and has returned to Ridge Funeral Home as General Manager and now Co-Owner. Mickey says "I'm passionate about funeral service and I feel as I have come full circle back home to Ridge and serving the Asheboro and Randolph county people that I love so dearly".

Mickey is a 32 degree master mason and member of Asheboro Masonic Lodge #699 and attends Friendship Baptist Church in Asheboro.

His hobbies include collecting vintage and classic cars, especially Volkswagens; vacationing in the mountains and at the beach with his wife, Pam and children, Dillon and Addie, and singing.

Nancy R. Swaringen

Co-Owner

Nancy was born in Concord, NC, and moved to Asheboro in her "early" years. She graduated from Asheboro High School and earned a degree in Business Administration from Appalachian State University. While in college she decided to follow in her father's footsteps and started working in the funeral business. She began working at Ridge Funeral Home in 1992 and has been a licensed funeral director since 1994. In 2006, she attained the designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP).

When not working, Nancy enjoys spending time at the beach, reading, and shopping with her mother. Nancy is a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Asheboro.

Aaron Luoma

Funeral Director and Office Manager

Aaron is from Randleman, NC, and has strong ties to family in Michigan. He graduated from Randleman High School and started his career at Ridge Funeral Home in 2019 as our office manager before becoming a licensed funeral director.

He likes to spend most of his spare time with his wife and their pets.

William Cole

Funeral Director and Embalmer

Will is a graduate Southwestern Randolph High School and Fayetteville Technical Community College, and has an associates degree in Funeral Service. He obtained his N.C. Funeral Service License in 2022.

In his free time Will enjoys playing sports and exercising.

Carson Wright

Funeral Director and Embalmer

Carson is a native of Randolph County. Growing up, he enjoyed spending time with his family and helping his grandfather’s with projects and building things. He graduated from Asheboro High School in 2018. He then attended Randolph Community College for one year. He then transferred to Fayetteville Technical Community College to obtain his Associates Degree in Funeral Service in 2020. He started working in the funeral industry in 2017 and is now a Funeral Service Licensee.

In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his wife Addie and family, and spending time with his dog, Nell.

Tim Skeen

Maintenance

Tim is an Asheboro native, and joined Ridge Funeral Home before graduating from Southwestern Randolph High School.

Tim loves working with his hands and being outside. He and his wife, Nicole, have one son.

Kirk Goodman

Funeral Director and Embalmer

Kirk grew up in Concord, NC, and graduated from Concord High School. He has worked in the funeral business since he was 16 years old and has been with Ridge Funeral Home since 1978.

He received his funeral service license in 1980. Kirk was a member of Kiwanis Club of Asheboro and is a member of First United Methodist Church in Asheboro.

He has retired after 46 years as a full time funeral director, embalmer, and co-owner at Ridge Funeral Home. He now assists and works as a consultant at Ridge.

Charles T. Reeder

Funeral Director and Embalmer

Charles is from Seagrove, NC. He was vice president of Central Chair Company until joining Ridge Funeral Home in 2003. He holds a NC Funeral Service License and earned a Master's degree in Theological Studies from Liberty University. Charles is a member of West Asheboro Church of God. He and his late wife, Patsy, have two sons, two grandsons, and one great-grandson.

Howard Donald III

Funeral Assistant

Howard is a native of Norlina, NC. He and his late wife, Sandra, are former owners of two Ace Hardware stores in the Tarboro area.

He has three children, seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
He served in the US Navy and is a member of Flag Springs United Methodist Church in Asheboro.

Roy McNeill

Funeral Assistant

Roy is from Seagrove, NC and is retired from Black & Decker. He has been a member of Ridge Funeral Home for nearly 20 years. He raised chickens commercially and enjoys his garden. Roy and Ruth, his wife, are members of Union Grove Baptist Church in Seagrove, and enjoy time spent with their children and grandchildren.

Frank Hayes

Greeter

Frank has been a member of Ridge Funeral Home since 2012. He enjoys going to the beach with his wife, Nancy, and their family. In his spare time Frank enjoys playing golf.

Eddie Rush

Funeral Assistant

Eddie was born and raised in Asheboro and spent most of his career working at General Electric/ Black & Decker. Playing golf at lease once a week, going to the beach, and traveling in the Caribbean are his favorite things to do.

Eddie and his wife, Regina, do many community events. He is a member of Sunset Avenue Church of God and serves on the connection team. They are parents to their doggie, "Bentley."

Eddie joined the Ridge Funeral Home team in 2024.

MIke is the former long time manager at Chick-Fil-A in Asheboro. Mike and his wife, Lorraine, are member of First Presbyterian Church in Asheboro and enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.

Greeter

Pasty has been a member of the Ridge Funeral home family since 2015. She also had worked part-time at Van York GMC. She and her husband, Ronald, enjoy spending time with their family. Patsy is a member of West Asheboro Church of God.

Libby Gordon

Greeter

Libby joined Ridge Funeral Home in 2023, shortly after retiring from Timken after 23 years in customer service.

She loves spending time with family and friends, especially grandchildren and great grandchildren.

When time allows, Libby enjoys time at the lake, the beach, and her grandkids sporting events.

Being a greeter at Ridge is a perfect fit as Libby like to help and be of service to others when needed.
