Wilma Hinshaw Stevenson

Mrs. Wilma Bulla Hinshaw Stevenson, 88, of Asheboro, NC, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, at High Point Regional Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, April 8, 2013, at Asheboro Friends Meeting with Rev. Ken Thames, Rev. Pat Thames and Rev. Leslie Winslow officiating. Entombment will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Stevenson was born June 6, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Troy Jesse Hinshaw and Myrtle Bulla Hinshaw. She retired from Sopona Manufacturing. She was a member of Asheboro Friends Meeting, where she was a choir member of 60 years and a member of the Friendly Friends Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stevenson was preceded in death by her brothers, Clifford Hinshaw and Harold Hinshaw. Mrs. Stevenson is survived by her husband, J.C. Stevenson, of the home; sister-in-law, Betty Hinshaw, of Asheboro, NC; niece, Sheila Huffman, and great niece, Laura Huffman. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Sunday, April 7, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
