William Nathan Winslow, 74, of Asheboro, passed away Friday, April 25, 2025, at High Point Medical Center in High Point.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Sunset Avenue Church of God, Asheboro with Pastor Boyd Byerly and Pastor Charles Moses officiating. Burial will be private at Randolph Memorial Park.
Born in Randolph County, NC on April 8, 1951, William was the son of the late Nathan and Mary Hughes Winslow. He was a loving husband and dad. William was a musician and he played in a band at Foster Street Wesleyan Church and other various gospel groups. He retired from Asheboro City Schools. After retirement he enjoyed helping his son work on his farm. William liked being outdoors and found peace in the simple things in life.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Gurgainus; and brother, John McCormick.
Surviving are his wife, Peggy Winslow; sons, Jay Winslow and wife JaAnna, Travis Winslow and wife Dawn; grandchildren, Collin Winslow, Karsan Winslow, Cassie Winslow, Travis Winslow, Trey Lovett, Jason Lovett, Todd Lovett, Rebecca Lovett, Courtney Heyward and husband Eddie; great grandchildren, Tatum Lovett, Taelyn Lovett, Haisley McCormick, Brynlee McCormick, Easton Winslow, Ryland Winslow, Jackson Heyward, Knox Heyward.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, prior to his service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Power of Salvation International Ministries, 1301 NC Hwy 49 South, Asheboro, NC 27205, which supports 36 churches in Pakistan and five churches in Africa.
