William "Junior" Needham

William Norman Needham, Jr., 80, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Fresenius Kidney Center in Asheboro. A private funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, January 4, 2020, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Charles Reeder officiating. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery following the service. Junior was born in Randolph Co, to the late William Norman Needham, Sr. and Evelyn Shirley Needham. He retired from doing long distance trucking. Junior loved baseball and old movies, especially ones with John Wayne. Junior loved traveling with his son Bill, and he would often go to baseball games. Junior is preceded in death by his brother, Jesse Ray Kirkman. Surviving is Linda Needham of the home; daughters, Jodie Needham Paschal of Asheboro, Angela Needham Small and husband Doug of Asheboro, Stephanie Needham Allred and husband Scott of Asheboro; sons, Mark Anthony Needham of Atlantic, NC, William "Bill" Norman Needham, III, of the home; sisters, Pat Maness of Franklinville, Beverly Needham Garner of Asheboro; brothers, Stewart Wittering and wife Yelitza of Leicester, England, Darrell Needham-Fairbanks of AL, Jimmy Needham of Lenior, NC; eight grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
