William Curtis Brower

Mr. William Curtis Brower, 97, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Friday, October 5, 2012, at Neighbor's Grove Wesleyan Church with Rev. Doug Dennis and Rev. Randy Haithcock officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Moore County, NC, Mr. Brower was born November 16, 1914. He was the son of the late William Jonah Brower and Rilla Jane Cagle Brower. He was a faithful member of Neighbor's Grove Wesleyan Church and loving husband to his wife and father to his family. In addition to his parents, Mr. Brower was preceded in death by his first wife, Clara Stutts Brower. Mr. Brower is survived by his wife, Zona Garner Brower, of the home; daughters, Lois Small and husband, Buck, Hilda May and husband, Pete, all of Asheboro, NC; sons, James Brower and wife, Donnie, Henry "Hank" Brower and wife, Sherry, of Orlando, FL, sisters, Mildred Blackmon, Madie Brower, both of Seagrove, NC; brother, Hubert Brower and wife, Anna, of Asheboro, NC, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren and six step children. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Thursday, October 4, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Neighbor's Grove Wesleyan Church, 1928 N.
