William Chelby Black

Mr. William "Bill"� Chelby Black, 84, of Asheboro, NC, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2013. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February, 10, 2013 at West Asheboro Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Sam Hicks. Family and friends will gather in the church fellowship hall following the service. Bill was born on November 14, 1928 in Wilmette, Illinois and moved to Asheboro in 1979. He was a thoughtful, caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was also an outstanding woodworker and had a marvelous sense of humor. Surviving are his wife, Judy Black; son, W. Caywood Black, of Alexandria, VA; daughter, Shelby Black and husband, Doug Huttleston, of Asheboro; stepsons, Jeffrey Runnfeldt and wife, Tracy Bender, of Okinawa, Japan, Stephen Runnfeldt and wife, Kristen, of Asheboro; grandchildren, James Schaeffer, J.J. Hendricks and husband, Daniel, Andrew Runnfeldt and wife, Valerie, and Benjamin Runnfeldt.
