William "Billy" Danial Trotter

William "Billy" Danial Trotter, 68, of Asheboro, died Monday, November 2, 2020, at his home. A private funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, November 6, 2020, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cindy Ramirez and Rev. Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Charlotte United Methodist Church Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed on Ridge Funeral Home's official Facebook Page. Billy was born on August 5, 1952, in Randolph County. He retired from T. Allred Trucking, and was a member of Charlotte United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing and shooting "possums" in his backyard. Billy was preceded in death by his father, James Robert Trotter and brother, Nickey Trotter. He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Brower of Thomasville; sons, Danial Trotter and wife Linda of Trinity, Douglas Trotter and wife Cindy of Winston-Salem; mother, Gladys Trotter of Asheboro; brothers, Gary Trotter of Sophia, Wesley Trotter of Trinity; and eight grandchildren. Mr. Trotter's body will lie in state between 12:30 and 2:30 p.m., Friday, November 6, 2020, at Ridge Funeral Home prior to the service.
