Wayne R. Morris

Wayne R. "Wormy" Morris, 74, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at High Point Regional Hospital in High Point. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 13, 2014, in the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Charles T. Reeder officiating. A native of Mooresville, NC, Mr. Morris was born September 13, 1940, the son of the late William and Edith Crib Morris. Wayne was a jack of all trades. In addition to his parents, Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his brother, William "Billy" Morris, and his dogs, June Bug and Boo Boo. Surviving are his daughters, Lisa Gail Locklear and husband, Redell, of Pleasant Garden, NC, Beth Morris, of Burlington, WI; Terri Jacobs and husband, Steve, of Randleman, NC; son, Gregory Morris, of Whiteville, NC; grandchildren, Mary Walter, Nikita Person, Becca Roberts, David Wayne Roberts, Jessica Jacobs, Jenna Jacobs, Jake Jacobs, John Jacobs, Gabe Morris, Ethan Morris, Isabella Morris; great grandsons, Elijah, Joseph, Cylas; his extended Presnell family and his faithful cats, Smut Mutt, Yellow Boy and Goldie. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 13, 2014 Ridge Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Randolph SPCA, 142 W. Academy Street, Asheboro, NC 27203.
