W. Glenn Jarrell

William Glenn Jarrell, 90, of Asheboro, died Thursday, October 15, 2015 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 18, 2015, at West Asheboro Church of God with Rev. Matt Gunter officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Military honors will be presented by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Born August 16, 1925 in Randolph County, Mr. Jarrell was the son of the late Alexander and Alice Jarrell. He was a devoted member of West Asheboro Church of God. Mr. Jarrell had served on the Pastor's Council, former Sunday school superintendent and as a Sunday school teacher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Jarrell; son, Donnie Jarrell; and 12 brothers and sisters. Mr. Jarrell is survived by his sons, Wayne Jarrell and wife, Kathy of Archdale, Jackie Jarrell and wife, Kimitri of Diamond Bar, CA; grandchildren, Shallin Urban and husband, Andrew, Ivy West and husband, Marques, Leslie Ann Osborne and husband, Lee, Landon Jarrell and wife, Stephanie, Donnie B. Jarrell, Jr., Ethan Jarrell and Jessica Jarrell; and nine great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Ridge Funeral Home.
