Vivian Lowe Voncannon

Mrs. Mary Vivian Lowe VonCannon, 94, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, September 9, 2014. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, September 12, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Boyd Byerly and Charles T. Reeder officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. VonCannon was born March 26, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Sidney Doke Lowe and Eldora Delk Lowe. She was retired from Rampon Products and she was a member of the Church of God. Mrs. VonCannon loved to sew, write poems and she was a great cook. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and a lady of great wisdom. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd VonCannon; daughter, Marsha VonCannon; and son, Franklin VonCannon. Mrs. VonCannon is survived by her daughters, Janet Kiser and husband, Richard, of Wilson, Martha Nance and husband, Alton, of Denton, Mary Hoover and husband, Dale, of Asheboro; sisters, Rachel Ervin, of Charlotte, Joann Siler, of Greensboro; brother, Johnny Lowe, of Denton; grandchildren, Tyler VonCannon and wife, Tina, Mark Craven, Rodney Kiser and wife, Mendy, Brandon Kiser and wife, Gina, Ryan Nance, Stephanie Lanier and husband, Bryan; eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Thursday, September 11, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of Martha and Alton Nance. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Randolph, PO Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204. The family wants to extend a special thank you to hospice nurses, Tina, Tara and Ericka.
