Virginia Davis White

Mrs. Virginia Dare Davis White, 83, of 608 Macy Grove Road, died Saturday, November 13, 2010, at her residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Hussey officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Asheboro. A native of Davidson County, NC, Mrs. White was born October 19, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Calvin Matthew Davis and Willa May Cranford Davis. She was a member of Central Falls Baptist Church. Mrs. White is survived by daughters, Patricia White Biddix, of Asheboro, Michelle Lovell and husband, Kevin, of Asheboro; sons, John D. White and wife, Janie, of the home, Frank M. White, of Salisbury; sister, Becky Luther, of Concord, five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at Ridge Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Patricia Biddix, 646 W. Wainman Avenue, Asheboro. The family would like to extend their thanks to Hospice of Greensboro for the wonderful care during the last weeks of her life.
