Virginia Ruth Hunt

November 30, 1928 — January 28, 2012

Mrs. Virginia Ruth Pierce Hunt, 83, of Asheboro, NC, died Saturday, January 28, 2012, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2012, at the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jon Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Hunt was born November 30, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Robert Loranza Pierce and Leonia Kindley Pierce. She was a charter member of Forest Park Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hunt was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Hunt, her son, Stephen Hunt, and her sister, Annie Louise Cockerham. Mrs. Hunt is survived by her daughter, Vickie Hunt, of the home, and her sister, Carolyn Hanner, of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends from 3:00 "� 5:00 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Forest Park Baptist Church, 132 Gum Street, Randleman, NC 27317.
