Virginia Inez Freeman, of Asheboro, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015 at her home. Private graveside services will be held Saturday at Russell's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tim Fonner. A native of Randolph County, Virginia was the daughter of the late Rupert Harris and Minnie Allen Freeman of Ulah. She was retired from the Pentagon and had attended Russell's Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three older brothers, Dale, Wayne and Hoyt. She is survived by her nephew, Charles Freeman of Virginia Beach; nieces, Ann Sykes of Norfolk, VA, Kay Freeman of Virginia Beach and Sue Swengros of Lakeland, FL. She is also survived by numerous great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and nephews. Virginia also leaves behind to mourn her everyday her loyal dog, Heidi, whom she rescued 10 years ago as a puppy. The family extends an extra special thank you to Laura Naylor, who was Virginia's loyal friend. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 24, 2015 at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Randolph SPCA, 300 W. Bailey St., Asheboro, NC 27203.
