Virginia Burns

April 26, 1948 — September 7, 2015

Virginia "Gin" Beane Burns, 67, of Star, NC, was placed into her Lord and Savior's loving arms by the merciful angels on Monday morning, September 7, 2015 at White Oak Manor in Burlington. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Big Oak Church of God, Star. Officiating will be Rev. Chris Boyd, Rev. Wendell Hudson, Rev. Earl Ward and Rev. Billy Chriscoe. Burial will follow at the Beane Cemetery, Star. Virginia was born April 26, 1948, the daughter of eight children of Roy Inzer and Ruby Greene Beane. She was married to her beloved husband, Otis Burns, for 18 years and together they raised three children and have been blessed with five grandchildren. She lived in Montgomery Co., NC, all of her life. Virginia loved God and her family with all her heart. She also enjoyed singing, gardening, sewing and helping others. The greatest legacy that Virginia leaves behind is her love and passion to always help others. She always saw the good in everyone she met. Virginia was preceded in death by her father, Roy Inzer Beane, and her grandparents, Inzer and Ella Lucas Beane, Roosevelt Greene and Rosa Mae Collins. Virginia is survived by her mother, Ruby Beane, of Star, NC; daughter, Debbie Burns, of Burlington, NC; sons, Odia Burns, of the home, James Burns and wife, Pauline Meola Burns, of Fuquay Varina, NC; sisters, Ella Mae Smith of Seagrove, NC, Nancy Kern, Rachel Beane, both of Asheboro, NC, Martha Ward, of Star, NC, Susie Hudson, Joyce McClain, both of Asheboro, NC; brother, Ray Beane, of Star, NC; grandchildren, Caitlin Alexander, of Burlington, NC, Bryan Burns, of the home, Austin Burns and Landon Burns, of Robbins, NC, Bella Burns, of Fuquay Varina, NC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and other relative that she loved with all her heart. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Encephalitis Society to further research on a very rare autoimmune disease, Hashimoto's Encephalopathy. Visit http://www.encephalitis.info to donate. The family will receive friends from, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, NC and other times at the home of her sister, Ella Mae Smith, Seagrove, NC.
