Viola Kivett

Mrs. Viola King Kivett, 83, of Asheboro, NC, died Sunday, March 6, 2011, at Woodland Hills Care & Rehabilitation Center. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Knoll Cemetery in Ramseur. A native of Montgomery County, NC, Mrs. Kivett was born April 22, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Virgil King and Martisha Aquiline Ashworth King. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kivett was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Kivett, her sisters, Opal Aycock, Emma Lee Trotter, and her brother, Virgil Warren King. She attended First Baptist Church and was a beautician in Ramseur. Mrs. Kivett is survived by her sisters, Thelma Comer and husband, Garland, of Seagrove, NC, Mary Rebecca Bullins, of Sophia, NC; brother, Clifford King and wife, Naomi, of Seagrove, NC; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of Clifford King, 353 King Road Seagrove.
