Verlin Lynn Powers

Verlin Lynn Powers, 29, of Thomasville, died Sunday, July 4, 2021. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Charles Reeder officiating. Burial will follow at Hughes Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Thomasville. Verlin was born in Randolph County, NC on October 31, 1991. He loved to draw, write songs, raps, and poetry. He also enjoyed rap battling. He loved his family, especially his kids and would do anything for anyone. Surviving are his fiancee, Kimberly Johnson; daughter, Shyann Adams; son, Sterlin Powers; parents, David Lynn Powers and Tina Louise Greene; sisters, Laura Hicks and Damara Hicks; brothers, Tim (Wayne) Brady, David J. Powers, and Warren Powers. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, prior to the service at Ridge Funeral Home.
