Vera H. Faircloth

Mrs. Vera Callie Harkey Faircloth, 90, of Asheboro, NC, died Saturday, February 26, 2011, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Monday, February 28, 2011, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Holder, the Rev. Kenneth Reaves and the Rev. George Roberson officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Stanly County, NC, Mrs. Faircloth was born November 15, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Victor Charles Harkey and Annie Bunn Harkey. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church, a gardener and animal lover. She was an avid square dancer and a member of the Randolph Squares and Smiling Squares. She was the Number 1 fan of her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Faircloth. Mrs. Faircloth is survived by her daughter, Zoe Faircloth, of Asheboro, NC; son, Kim Faircloth and wife, Helen, of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Josh Faircloth and wife, Nicole, Kristen Faircloth, KimberMarie Faircloth; nephews, Scott Mabrey and wife, Golda, of Troy, NC, John Faircloth and wife, Linda, of High Point, NC, Tim Cox, of Tampa, FL; niece, Cindy Adams and husband, Jerry, of Youngsville, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Sunday, February 27, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
