Velna Marie Moody

Mrs. Velna Marie Martin Moody, 72, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, July 20, 2012, at Randolph Memorial Park with Charles T. Reeder officiating. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Moody was born December 6, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Everett Martin and Eva Mae Burrow Martin. She was retired from Sapona Manufacturing, loved her grandchildren, and loved spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Calvin "Buck" Martin. Mrs. Moody is survived by her son, Mark Moody and wife, Janice, of Asheboro, NC; daughter, Sharon Poole and husband, Jonathan, of Louisburg, NC; son-in-law, Tony Yountz and his wife, of Sophia, NC; sisters, Irene Martin Brinkley, of Red Cross, NC, Mary Ann Williams, brothers, Ralph Martin, of FL, George Williams, of Fayetteville, NC; grandchildren, Alesia Bowman and husband, Scott, Tony Yountz Jr., Jennifer Hunt and husband, Todd; great grandchildren, Orion Yountz, Landon Yountz, Nathaniel Bowman, Julee Bowman, Thomas Hunt, and Anthony Hunt. At othe times, the family will be at the home of Mark and Janice Moody.
