Velma Edith Woodell

Velma Edith Woodell, 80, of Asheboro, died Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Randolph Health in Asheboro. Graveside services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Randolph Memorial Park with Rev. Neil Poole officiating. Mrs. Woodell was born March 13, 1937. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Woodell. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Frances Overman of the home; son, Kenneth Clarence Woodell of Asheboro; stepdaughter, Clara Edmondson of Franklinville; brother, Raymond Overman and wife, Dorothy of High Point; grandson, Joseph Aaron Clark; three step-grandchildren; and several step great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Ridge Funeral Home, prior to the service. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
