Van Kirk Hodge

Mr. Van Kirk Hodge, 61, of Randleman, NC, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 9, 2014, at his home. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, March 14 at Pisgah United Methodist Church with Rev. J. Harold Hammond officiating. A native of Randolph County, Mr. Hodge was born March 11, 1952 to the late Delbert Hodge and Jessie Slack Hodge. He graduated from Seagrove High School, the class of 1970. He worked at Dixie Furniture and later at Black and Decker. He was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church where he had many friends. Some of his happiest times were spent at church gatherings and at "the pond" with his nephews. He will be missed by both family and friends. He is survived by sisters, Mary Tutterow of Florida, Pam Palmer and husband, Scott, of Colorado, nephews, Tom Tutterow, of Clemmons, NC, Justin Shaw, of Durango, CO; niece Tori Collins and husband, Brad, of Raleigh, NC; great nephew, Colt; great niece, Brady. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Lung Association, 514 Daniels St., #109 Raleigh, NC 27605 or to Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Margaret Moore 5224 NC Hwy 134, Asheboro, NC 27205. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
