Troy Edward "Junior"� Gallimore, Jr., age 78, of 8222 Highway 64 West, Trinity, NC, died Sunday, February 14, 2010, at his home surrounded by his family. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Tabernacle United Methodist Church with the Rev. Hillis Burton, the Rev. Barry Wall, and the Rev. Karen Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born on December 25, 1931, in Randolph County, Mr. Gallimore was the son of the late Troy Edward Gallimore, Sr.and the late Bessie Edith Loflin Gallimore. He was the owner of Gallimore Packing Plant and Colonial Meat Service. He was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church and a member of the Cattleman's Association. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jacqueline Gallimore. He was a hard worker and he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially traveling to the mountains or beach. Surviving are his wife, Helen Hunt Gallimore of the home; daughters, Sandra Gallimore Snider and husband, Michael, of Trinity, Kathy Gallimore Smith and husband, Aubrey, of Asheboro, Debbie Gallimore Foust and husband, Neal, of Asheboro; sisters, Joyce Lambeth, Lois Parrish, both of Lexington, Shirley Hedrick and husband, Vann, of Trinity, Norma Hall and husband, Sidney, of Asheboro, Peggy Lambeth and husband, Larry, of Trinity: brothers, Joe Gallimore and wife, Trish, of Winston-Salem, Jerry Gallimore and wife, Nancy, of Lexington; grandchildren, Amy Kindley and husband, Chad, Chad Smith and wife, Jamie, Todd Snider and wife, Tonya, Lori Carter and husband, Wayne, Kelly Hill and husband, Brad, Scott Smith and wife, Leah; great-grandchildren, Kolby Kindley, Landon Smith, Maddison Carter, Noah Smith, Logan Carter, Adam Smith, Kamden Carter, Wyatt Smith, Kyndal Kindley and baby, Keaton Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, and other times at the home. Memorials may be to Hospice of Randolph, PO Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204-0009; or to Tabernacle U.M.C., 199 Tabernacle Church Road, Trinity, NC 27370. The family would like to extend at special thank you to his brothers-in-law and sisters-in law, Barbara and Hillis Burton, Ruth Ann Gunter, Jim and Judy Hunt, and the staff Hospice of Randolph Co., especially to his angel on Earth, Dawn Smith.
