Treva Garner

Mrs. Treva Dula Brown Garner, 95, of Asheboro, NC, died Thursday, August 2, 2012, at The Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, August 5, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Kidd and Dr. Ron Chaney officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. Mrs. Brown was born October 28, 1916 in Seagrove, NC. She was the eldest child of the late Claude Edgar Brown and Della Louisa Hancock Brown. In 1934 she married Landon Dula of Asheboro. She was also a member of Friendship Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by her husbands, Landon Dula, Ray Brown, Wade Garner; son, Bobby Dula; grandson, Ken Small; sisters, Sylvia Wright, Mamie Presnell; and brother, Christon Brown. Mrs. Brown is survived by her son, Paul Dula and wife, Martha, of Randleman, NC; daughter-in-law, Susan Dula, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Tony Dula and wife, Dawn, Lisa Chaney and husband, Dean, Meyressa Jackson and husband, Theron; eight great grandchildren; sister, Alta Allen and husband, Johnnie, of Seagrove, NC; and five nieces and four nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Saturday, August 4, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, PO Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204.
