Tony Cox

Mr. Anthony "Tony"� Wayne Cox, 58, of Asheboro, NC, died Thursday, November 1, 2012, at The Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Barrett and Pastor Marty Grainger officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Cox was born January 30, 1954. He was the son of the late Harold Lee Cox and Annie Lou Burrow Cox Overman. Mr. Cox worked 38 years at Energizer. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and going to the beach. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Cox. Mr. Cox is survived by his wife, Debbie K. Cox, of the home; daughter, Tosha Cox Franklin and husband, Mike, of Asheboro, NC, sons, Jamie Lee Cox and wife, Ashley, Devin Cox and wife, Jennifer, all of Asheboro, NC; stepdaughter, Tinia Duty and husband, Kennith, of Asheboro, NC; stepfather, Wayne M. Overman, of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Tanner Franklin, Kaegan Cox; step grandchildren, Chrisany, Donna, Makayla, Savannah, Makenzie, Mason; and beloved pet, Zoey. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, November 2, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
