Tommy Mcdowell

Tommy Ray McDowell, 16, of Denton, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017. Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 7, 2017, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Pleasant Union Community Church in Denton. Tommy was born November 24, 2000 in Guilford County. He attended Southwestern Randolph High School, where he played football and was on the wrestling team. Tommy enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a proud uncle. Tommy had many friends and he loved them all. Tommy is survived by his father and stepmother, Dallas and Brenda McDowell of the home; mother, Karen Earp of Louisiana; sister, Kristen McDowell of Denton; stepbrother, Marcus Harmon of Denton; grandparents, Nancy McDowell of Denton, David McDowell of Trinity, Danny Hardister of Denton; and his niece, Danica Gause. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060.
