Lee Thomas Livingston, 80, of 708 Franks Street, Asheboro, NC, transitioned to his heavenly home on Friday, April 15, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Greater St. John's Baptist Church, Asheboro, with Pastor Joseph Kearns and Pastor Barry Gray officiating. Entombment will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro. A native of Richmond County, NC, Mr. Livingston was born June 8, 1935, the son of the late Vennie and Lucille Livingston. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Siler City. After moving to Asheboro, Mr. Livingston worked at the Courier-Tribune and retired as a Park Ranger at the NC Zoo after 26 years of service. Mr. Livingston is survived by his wife, Margaret Kelly Livingston, of the home; daughter, Lisa Carol Hatchett and husband, Mike, of Asheboro; sons, Thomas Earl Livingston and wife, Ruby, of Asheboro, Richard Lee Livingston and wife, Stella, of High Point, Michael Angelo Livingston and fiancé, Justina, of Asheboro; sisters, Catherine McCollum, Venice Cooper, both of High Point; brother, Vennie Livingston, Jr., and wife, Alice, of Hoffman; twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and special daughter, Kaye Kearns. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Greater St. John's Baptist Church, Asheboro, and other times at the home.
