Tim Thomas

Mr. Timothy Paul Thomas, 47, of Asheboro, NC, died Sunday, April 1, 2012, at UNC Hospitals. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Smyrna Grove Community Church Cemetery in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Thomas was born December 8, 1964. Tim was a graduate of Asheboro High School and Randolph Community College. He was employed as a Senior Sales Representative for the Courier-Tribune for 22 years. He loved his job and was truly a people person. He loved spending time with his family and friends, going to the beach, traveling and doing things for others. Tim was a loving son, brother and uncle. Mr. Thomas is survived by his mother, Clara R. Thomas, of Asheboro; sisters, Tammy Thomas, Tina Cagle and husband, William, Tana Skipper, all of Asheboro, NC; brothers, Terry Thomas, of Myrtle Beach, SC, Tony Thomas, of Asheboro, NC; nephews, Ryan Skipper, Matthew Cagle; nieces, Haley Skipper, Holly Cagle; great niece, Riley Skipper; great nephew, Colby Skipper. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of his mother.
