Thomas S. Rose

Mr. Thomas Sylvester Rose, 76, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, December 30, 2011, at The Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, January 1, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Garland Hall and Rev. Joe Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at High Pine Wesleyan Church Cemetery in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Rose was born December 12, 1935. He was the son of the late John Webster Rose and Nora Jane Lucas Rose. Mr. Rose was the owner of Thomas Rose Sawmill and worked as a plumber for Seagrove Hardware. He attended High Pine Wesleyan Church. Mr. Rose was also preceded in death by his son Billy Thomas Rose. Mr. Rose is survived by his wife, Joyce Rose, of the home; son, Larry Rose, of Asheboro, NC; sister, Betty Nelson, of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Jonathan Rose, Aaron Rose, and Matthew Rose; great grandchild, Jayden Rose and Jake Rose. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Sunday, January 1, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of Larry Rose.
