Thomas Henley Parker

Thomas Henley Parker, 82, of 199 Emerald Rock Road, Asheboro, died Friday, June 11, 2010, at his home. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2010, at the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Martin Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Back Creek Friends Meeting Cemetery. Born in Randolph County on June 10, 1928, Mr. Parker was the son of the late Charles and Sally Lackey Parker. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Thomas Parker. Surviving are his wife, Nellie C. Parker, of the home; daughters, Vanesa P. Robbins and husband, Terry, Terry Parker, all of Asheboro; sons, Joe Parker and wife, Evalve, of Durham, Johnny Parker, of Asheboro, Buck Parker and wife, Gail, of Randleman, Tim Parker and wife, Jenny, Barry Parker, all of Asheboro; stepdaughter, Ruth W. Myers, of Franklinville; sister, Margaret P. Snider, of Asheboro; fifteen grandchildren; and eight step grandchildren The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2010.
