Thomas Corcoran

Thomas James "Tom" Corcoran, 82, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Memorial services will be held 6:00 p.m., Monday, July 9, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro. Officiating will be Pastor Marty Grainger. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Born February 14, 1936, in Los Angeles, CA, Mr. Corcoran was the son of the late Patrick and Genevieve Shopper Corcoran. He loved and was proud of serving with law enforcement as a forensic photographer, and having served in the US Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed discussing politics and was an outdoorsman who loved camping and panning for gold. In addition to his parents, Mr. Corcoran was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Sally Ann Corcoran. Survivors include his daughter, Kerry Bidlespacher and husband, Scott; of Asheboro; son, Kevin Joseph Corcoran, of Vashon Island, WA; brother, Donald Corcoran and wife, Helen, of WI; grandchildren, Zach Bidlespacher and Sarah Bidlespacher.
