Thelma Scott

Mrs. Thelma Annie Stokes Scott, 81, of 2509 NC Hwy 42 South, Asheboro, NC, died Saturday, July 31, 2010, at her home. Graveside services will be conducted 3:00 pm Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Randolph Memorial Park with the Rev. Robert Armstrong officiating. A native of Chatham County, Mrs. Scott was born January 16, 1929, the daughter of the late Daniel and Flora Brady Stokes. She was a member of Central Wesleyan Church and was retired from Galey and Lord (Burlington Industries). In addition to her parents, Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Scott. Survivors include her son, Danny D. Scott, of the home; sister, Maggie Phillips, of Asheboro; grandson, Christopher D. Scott and wife, Bobbi, Jason Scott and wife, Melissa; great granddaughters, Darbee Elizabeth Scott, Savannah Scott and Hayley Scott. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 6 until 8 pm on Tuesday, August 3, 2010, and other times at the home.
