Thelma M. Hoover

Mrs. Thelma Irene Morton Hoover, 96, of Asheboro, NC, died Monday, April 21, 2014, at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home. A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Neil Crowell and Rev. George Roberson officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Montgomery County, NC, Mrs. Hoover was born September 16, 1917. She was the daughter of the late Haywood Morton and Ila Hamilton Morton. Mrs. Hoover was a homemaker had a home daycare for children. She attended New Union United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hadley Hoover. Mrs. Hoover is survived by daughter, Patsy Varner, of Asheboro, NC, and grandson, Dan Varner, of Asheboro, NC.
