Thelma Josephine Teague Cole, 94, of Asheboro, died Monday, January 6, 2020, at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 9, 2020, at Center Cross Baptist Church Cemetery, Asheboro, with Charles Reeder officiating. Thelma was born on April 23, 1925, in Cherokee Co. NC, daughter to the late Norman Teague and Ora Fair Wright. She retired from B.B. Walkers, and then traveled with her late Husband Garland Cole. She was an avid fan of both NASCAR and Duke. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Vickie Lambeth, Jeanette Solesbee; son, Ronnie Solesbee; brothers, Hoylt Teague, Olan Teague, Bill Teague, Danny Teague; sisters, Faye Bucannon, Edith Owens, and Marie Brault. Surviving are her daughters, Gwendolyn Freeman of Asheboro, Wanda Taylor and husband George of Greensboro; son, Carson Hurley of Summerfield, Sean Harris a grandson that lived with her like a son; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
