Thelma Callicutt

Thelma Mae Chriscoe Callicutt, 86, of Asheboro, NC, died Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2015, at Russell's Grove Baptist Church, Asheboro, NC, where she was a member, with Rev. Tim Fonner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born December 14, 1928, Mrs. Callicutt was a native of Randolph County, born the daughter of the late Walter and Nola Graves Chriscoe. She was retired from Black & Decker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Callicutt was preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn Tucker, her second husband, Earl S. Callicutt, and her daughter, Linda Tucker Darden. Survivors include her sons, Gary L. Callicutt and wife, Marie, Tony Callicutt, all of Asheboro; brother-in-law, F. Wade Callicutt, of West Memphis, AR; grandchildren, Amy Asbill Moon and husband, Tim, Christine Asbill McNeill and husband, Dale, Gina Callicutt Grant and husband, Joshua, Tracy Callicutt Johnson and husband, Derrick; great-grandchildren, Ciara McNeill, Amber Moon, Nolan Moon, Isaac Johnson, Eli Johnson, Caleb Grant , Aaron Grant, and Stella Grant. The visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2015, at Russell's Grove Baptist Church. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Randolph and her caregivers, Cheryl Richardson and Gail Cox.
