Mr. Terry G. Maness, 60, of Asheboro, NC, died Sunday, April 13, 2014, at his home. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Landmark Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lexington. A native of Moore County, NC, Mr. Maness was born March 16, 1954. He was the son of the late Pearlie Maness and Tonnie Annie Maness. He retired after 35 years with Energizer and started Sunset Flowers & Gifts in 2006. He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. Terry loved spending time with his family, especially "The Boss," going to the beach and shopping. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by twin brother, Perry Dale Maness and sisters, Helen Jones and Ellen Maness. Mr. Maness is survived by his wife, Barbara Robbins Maness, of the home, daughter, Mollie Salley Kinney and husband, Terry, of Asheboro, NC; granddaughter, Madison "The Boss" Kinney, of Asheboro; sisters, Betty Ann Davis and husband, Ernest Lee, Virginia Brady, all of Asheboro, NC, Linda Sue Maness, of Robbins, NC; brothers, Donald C. Maness and wife, Pat, Ronnie Maness, Larry Maness, Bernie Maness, all of Robbins, NC, and Fred Maness, of Graham, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorial contributions may be made to Landmark Baptist Church, Building Fund, 2816 Spoons Chapel Road, Asheboro, NC 27205.
