Terry Ray Dezern, 76, of Asheboro, went home Monday, November 22, 2021 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. William Fields officiating. Terry was born on August 6, 1945 in Randolph County to the late James Morgan Dezern and Lucy Ray Berry Dezern. He worked for Croft Architects in Asheboro and Jeglinski Engineers in Greensboro before starting his own business, Quality Plumbing in Asheboro. In addition to his parents, Terry was also preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Dezern. He is survived by his wife of almost 58 years, Carolyn Lamb Dezern; daughter, Sandy Dezern Hackett (Steve) of Randleman; and grandchildren, Christian Hackett of Prattville, AL, Cameron Hackett (Madison) of Shreveport, LA; sister, Brenda Cox (Johnnie) of McLeansville; and brother, Ed Dezern of Greensboro. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Ridge Funeral Home prior to the service.
