Tayna Loletha Caviness

Tayna "Tan" Loletha Caviness, 56, of Ramseur, NC, died Saturday, February 1, 2014, at The Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at Covenant Christian Church with Rev. Rodney Foxx officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland-McCrary Cemetery in Ramseur. A native of Randolph County, NC, Tayna was born November 13, 1957. She was the daughter of Hazel Marie Headen Caviness and the late James Colon Lee Caviness. She was employed at May Furniture and was a member of Children Chapel United Church of Christ. She received a degree in Early Childhood Development Education from Randolph Community College. Tayna, in addition to her mother, is survived by daughter; Mikyla Caviness, of Ramseur, NC ; sons, Mark Caviness, Harvey "Meen" Caviness, both of Ramseur, NC, Tech Sgt. Terry McNeil, Jr. and wife, Debra, of Great Falls, MT; sisters, Bonita Caviness Terry and husband, James, Chrisimae Gray and husband, Elton, Genvea Lineberry, all of Ramseur, NC; brothers, Billy Caviness and wife, Earnestine, Ronnie Caviness, all of Ramseur, NC; sixteen grandchildren; and special friend, Eric Fox. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at Covenant Christian Church and other times at the home of Ronnie Caviness.
