Sylvia D. Cook

Sylvia (Davis) Cook, a resident of Haysville for 74 years, died Thursday, July 01, 2010, sixteen days short of her 100th Birthday, at t the Cross Road Rest and Retirement Center in Asheboro, NC. Mrs. Cook was born July 17, 1910 in Mt Washington, PA., and was the daughter of the late Albert and Claire (Banker) Davis. Mrs. Cook was a full time homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E Cook; her two brothers Alvin and Walter and a sister, Emily. Surviving relatives are two sons and their spouses, William E. Cook and JoAnn (McKelvy) Arlington Heights, IL, Charles R Cook and Virginia (Braxto) of Asheboro, NC, and a daughter, Roberta Sacco (Albert) of Asheboro, NC; two half sisters Ellen Peterson of Green Valley, AZ and Jane Bender of Lancaster, CA; 11 Grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Interment will be in Sylvania Hills Cemetery.
