Steven Morris

Steven Ray Morris, 64, of Asheboro, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at his home. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 7, 2021, at Eleazer Church Cemetery, with Pastor Jimmy Wansley officiating. Steven was born on November 5, 1956, in Randolph County. He graduated from Southwestern Randolph High School in 1974. Steven was a member of Eleazer Church and enjoyed NASCAR and going to antique car shows. He is preceded in death by his father, Claude Revell Morris. Steven is survived by his mother, Shelby Jean Luther Morris of Asheboro; sister, Lisa Morris Long and husband David of Asheboro; aunts and uncles, Allene Hall, Bobby Luther and wife Barbara, Alice Luther; and several cousins. Mr. Morris will lie in state from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Eleazer Church, 7503 Eleazer Church Road, Troy, NC 27371.
