Stella R. Kenyon

Mrs. Stella "Granny"� Roetta Yates Kenyon, 92 years young, of 1137 Running Cedar Road, was called home by the Lord Friday, November 5, 2010, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Sunday, November 7, 2010, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Hunt and speaker Dr. Benjamin Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Sawyersville Wesleyan Church Cemetery in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Kenyon was born March 6, 1918. She was the daughter of the late Wesley E. Yates and Bertha Elma Tysinger Yates. She attended Christian Fellowship Church. She was retired from Bost Neckwear and she was a caregiver for not only her family, but everyone in the community. Mrs. Kenyon is survived by her daughter, Grace Johnson and husband, Dwayne, of the home, grandchildren, Michael Johnson, Randy Johnson and Amy Luck, all of Asheboro, 5 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm Sunday, November 7, 2010, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
