Estella "Stella" Hall Kearns, 79, of Denton, died Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at High Point Medical Center.
A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Foster Street Wesleyan Church, 214 Foster Street, Asheboro, where she attended, with Pastor Charles Moses officiating.
Stella was born on May 2, 1947, in Floyd County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Evan Hall and Oma Beverly. She retired from Energizer after 30 years of service and volunteered for the Randolph County Sheriff's Department. Stella was a crafty person and was known as a social butterfly in the community and loved everyone, especially her family and grandbabies.
Stella was survived by her husband of 59 years, Ed Kearns of the home; daughter, Edwina Ashworth and husband Steven of Asheboro; son, Brian Kearns and wife Karen of Denton; grandchildren, Blake Kearns, Korbin Severt and wife Kayla, Bailey Kearns; great grandchild, Willa Severt; brothers, Carl Hall of Asheboro, Evan Hall and wife Sherri of Seagrove; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Ridge Funeral Home, and other times at the home.
