Shirley Dunn Maness

Shirley Ann Dunn Maness, 82, of Asheboro, died Thursday, October 1, 2020 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. There will be a graveside service at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 4, 2020, at Randolph Memorial Park, with Rev. Junior Dawkins officiating. Shirley was born on March 14, 1938, in Montgomery Co., NC, to the late Lonnie Dunn and Mary Brooks Dunn. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed gardening, cooking and canning food. She loved feeding people and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Grover Maness; siblings, Ralph Dunn, Helen Smith, and Brenda Dennis. Shirley is survived by her daughters, Pennie Brausch and husband John of Erlanger, KY, Sherry Griffin of Lexington, NC; son, Buddy Maness and wife Theresa of Asheboro; brother, Neal Dunn and wife Becky of Wadeville, NC; grandchildren, Shawn Barton, Amber Tysinger, Haley Harris, Shane Lamonds; great grandchildren, Caleb Barton, Cheyenne Barton, Cierra Barton, Emma Barton, Eli Tysinger, Connor Tysinger, Grace Hornyak, McClain Harris, Sawyer Harris.
