Shirley Kearns

Mrs. Shirley Ann Williams Kearns, 74, of Asheboro, NC, died Sunday, June 2, 2013, at her residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, June 5, 2013, in the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thurman Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Kearns was born May 2, 1939 in Union Township. She was the daughter of the late Jesse Williams and Eula Belle Parks Williams. She was a 1958 graduate of Seagrove High School and retired from Kayser-Roth Hosiery. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kearns was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Jane Williams and Margie Yvonne Williams. Mrs. Kearns is survived by her husband, Francis Ray Kearns, of the home; son, Benjamin Kearns, of the home; brothers, Vance Williams and wife, Peggy, of Seagrove, NC, Lewis Williams and wife, Margie, of Seagrove, NC, T.H. Williams and wife, Elizabeth, of Asheboro, NC; sisters, LaRue Cook and husband, Larry, of Denton, NC, Betty Satterfield, of Troy, NC; 7 nieces, 4 nephews, 5 great nieces, and 10 great nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home The family would like to extend a special thank you to Randolph Home Health, Randolph Cancer Center, Hospice of Randolph County, and Dr Van Eyk.
