Shirley Crotts

Shirley “Mawmawnee” Carroll Woodard Crotts, died peacefully at Genesis Healthcare, Siler City, NC, on January 26, 2021, at the age of 87. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 31, 2021, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Mason officiating. The service will be livestreamed on Ridge Funeral Home's official Facebook page. Shirley was born on July 29, 1933, in Guilford Co., to the late Edgar Blaine Woodard and Florence Irene Hawks Woodard. She was retired from Sew Special, Inc. of Asheboro. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, two grandsons, and her husband, William A. “Bobby” Crotts. She is survived by her children, Rodney A. Leake of Milan, TN and Carolyn Hill of Lexington, NC. Also surviving her are five grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ms. Crotts will lie in state from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 31, 2021, at Ridge Funeral Home, prior to the service.
