Shirley Ruth Branson

Mrs. Shirley Ruth Davis Branson passed away early Thursday morning, February 6, 2020, at Wellington Oaks Assisted Living Facility in Greensboro, NC, after a long illness. She is survived by one son, Stevie Branson; one sister, Vivian Norwood; two brothers, Marvin and J.T. Davis and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claudy and Daisy Davis; one brother, Clarence Davis; and one sister, Eva Williams. Shirley loved the Lord and believed in the miracle of prayer. She also loved pretty things, especially her grandfather clocks. Over the years, Shirley had been employed by Luck's Cannery of Seagrove, Everready Battery, and later by the N.C. Zoo. A private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Dr, High Point, NC, 27262, or to Union Grove Baptist Church, 7912 Union Grove Church Road, Seagrove, NC 27341. Ridge Funeral Home in Asheboro is assisting the family.
