Sherry Ann Bray

Sherry Ann Goins Bray, 47, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at Journey Church, Asheboro, with Pastor Randy Kelly and Rev. Don Hurlburt officiating. Burial will follow at Union Grove Christian Church Cemetery. Sherry was born on July 22, 1973 in Randolph Co. She attended Eastern Randolph High School. She enjoyed listening to music, playing bingo, watching movies, and going to the beach with her family. Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Ricky Harold Goins. She is survived by her husband, Richard Bray; mother and stepfather, Vickie and David Whitaker of Asheboro; sister, April Smith and husband Philip of Asheboro; niece, Lauren Smith; nephew, Aaron Smith; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. The body will lie in state from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2020, at Ridge Funeral Home and from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020, prior to the service at Journey Church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Alpine Health, Fresenius Kidney Care and Hospice of Randolph for the care given to Sherry.
