Sheila Chaffin

Sheila Marie Treacy Chaffin, 81, of Climax, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.

A private service will be held.

Sheila was born on January 21, 1941, in Orange County, NY, to the late William and Beatrice Mitchell Treacy. A beautician by trade, Sheila was also an amazing craftsperson who made dolls and quilts. She also traveled the globe as a military wife. Sheila was an amazing mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Sheila was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Chaffin; and three siblings.

Sheila is survived by her daughters, Terri Brown and husband, Reid, of Asheboro, NC, Marcia Wensel-Duckworth and husband, Anthony, of Holly Ridge, NC; sons, Michael Chaffin and wife, Velvet of the home, David Chaffin and wife, Rose, of Kernersville, NC; brother-in-law, Ralph Knapp of Newburgh, NY; 10 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
