Sara Haddock

Sara Lee Belk Haddock, 86, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 16, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jim Petty officiating. A native of Jefferson, SC, Mrs. Haddock was born October 29, 1932, one of 10 children of the late Brack and Pearl Eubanks Belk. She was retired from Blue Bell, Inc., in Asheboro. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, and raising her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Haddock was preceded in death by her husband, George Haddock, daughter, Debbie Latham, and eight of her siblings. Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Allred and husband Tommy of Asheboro; brother, Reece "Pete" Belk and wife Lenore of Kannapolis; grandchildren, Wayne Luck, Amanda McCoy and husband Adam, Cale Latham and wife Brianne, Eric Latham and wife Elizabeth; great grandchildren, Thomas McCoy, Mackenzie Luck, Isaac McCoy, Ayden Latham, Caleigh Latham, Karson Latham, Remington Latham; great-great grandchild, Brantley McCoy. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., Friday, prior to the service at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Randolph Co.
