Sandy C. Barbrey

Sandy Barbrey, an amazing husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, uncle and friend left us to be with our heavenly father. He was an ordained and licensed minister who served the Lord as a Pastor and Evangelist within the Church of God organization. He had a passion for deep sea fishing, cooking at Timothy's and spending time with his family. We love and miss him dearly and know heaven has gained another angel. Reverend Sandy C. Barbrey, 66, of Asheboro, died Monday, May 4, 2015 at High Point Regional Hospital in High Point. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Freedom Life Church of God, 116 Sunrise Avenue, Asheboro, NC, with Reverend Ben Chavis and Reverend Jodi Williams officiating. Reverend Sandy C. Barbrey was born May 27, 1948 to the late Doris Minola Gautier and Adise Powell Barbrey. In addition to his parents, Reverend Barbrey was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Earl Barbrey. Reverend Barbrey is survived by his wife, Monie Sue Barbrey of the home; daughter, Angela Barbrey Christie and husband, John, of Asheboro; son, Timothy Paul Barbrey and wife, Samantha Moretz Barbrey of Greensboro; son, Benjamin Jackie Barbrey of Greensboro; brother, Ronnie Harold Barbrey of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Jaclyn Nicole Christie, Morgan Alexandria Christie and Ashlyn Michelle Christie, all of Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, Thursday, prior to the service at Freedom Life Church of God, Asheboro. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Freedom Life Church of God.
