Sandra was born on February 15th, 1954 at Randolph Hospital, the daughter of late Allie Harrison Lambeth and Mabel Waynick Lambeth. She was a 1972 Graduate of Eastern Randolph High School. Sandra retired from John Plant Co. in Ramseur after 38 years of service. She was a breast cancer survivor, she overcame life support 4 years ago and fought back, to have 4 great years on peritoneal dialysis at home. She always had a smile on her face, and was the most patient soul. She never spoke negatively of anyone or anything, but was always seeing the good in people and difficult situations. She held tight to the promises of God, and fought an amazing battle over multiple health problems. She kept her mind sharp till the day her body would not fight anymore. She was an example to so many of being a great caregiver to her parents Allie and Mabel Lambeth, wife to Daryl Hill, sister to Donna Welch, and beloved mother to Terri Del Vecchio and Dr. Daryl Hill. She illustrated hard work and perseverance over difficulties, with a heart of gratitude and uplifting encouragement. She could fix and make anything. She had a wealth of knowledge but was humble. She sowed bridesmaids’ dresses, baked wedding cakes, repaired small engines, and retired as a maintenance supervisor. She enjoyed crafts, fishing, camping, beach, lake, and other things she could use her gifted hands to create or fix. She treasured her family and exemplified Godly service to others, always serving without ever looking to gain anything in return. She was known as Nana to all her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was surrounded by the love of family at bedside as God called her home.
She is survived by her husband, Daryl Hill of Franklinville; son, Dr. Daryl Hill and wife Gala of Asheboro; daughter, Terri Del Vecchio and Tony of Franklinville; sister, Donna Welch and husband James of Franklinville; grandchildren, Chris Stevenson and wife Natalie, Austin Hill and wife Amara, Alex Del Vecchio, Lynsey Hill; great grandchildren, Kahde Stevenson, Brighton Stevenson, Riggs Stevenson, and Leyton Hill.
