Sallie Lavolla Lucas

Sallie Lavolla White Lucas, 87, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, May 11, 2018 peacefully at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Mason officiating. Burial will follow at Suggs Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Star. A native of Randolph County, Mrs. Lucas was born April 25, 1931, the daughter of the late Jack and Sallie Coley White. She was the owner and operator of Lavolla's Beauty Shop for many years and her passion was working in her garden and flowers. She loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her dog, Ronnie. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lucas preceded in death by her husband, James D. Lucas. Survivors include her son, Donald L. Lucas (Phyllis), of Asheboro; daughters, Cynthia Brooks (Jimmy), Evona Seagraves (James), all of Asheboro; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Patsy White, of Winston-Salem; brother, Odell White, of Mt. Airy; sister-in-law, Nellie Mae Beane, of Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home, and starting Tuesday the family will spend other times at the home of Evona Seagraves, 3484 Fairview Farm Road, Asheboro.
